The highlight of this morning’s itinerary was our excursion to Hoa Lu and Tam Coc.

While Tam Coc is accessible via boat, providing panoramic views of the majestic cliffs and lush rice fields along the Ngo Dong River, Hoa Lu offers a glimpse into the past lives of the Le and Dinh dynasties.

Following our exploration of these esteemed attractions, we embarked on a bicycle ride through rural villages, immersing ourselves in the traditional farming practices of Ninh Binh. We were warmly welcomed by the local community.

Following breakfast, we embark on a scenic drive through the heart of the Red River Delta, traversing the province to Quang Ninh. Upon arrival, we board a traditional junk for a captivating voyage to the enchanting islands of Halong Bay.

The culmination of this day is a visit to one of the bay’s most prominent caves, where we can unwind on the sundeck and immerse ourselves in the bay’s ethereal splendour.

As the cruise ventures deeper into Lan Ha Bay, you will have the opportunity to explore its lesser-known side. Each day offers a diverse range of activities, from morning Tai Chi lessons to evening cooking classes, floating village visits, beach relaxation, and kayaking through hidden lagoons.

In the evening, the crew will demonstrate how to catch catfish using a rod or provide you with an enjoyable time on deck.

Another day in Lan Ha Bay, where you venture further into the less-visited limestone islets, discovering some of Halong Bay’s most breathtaking sites.

In the afternoon, I will embark on a tour of the Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace. This architectural marvel will be followed by a visit to the prominent French colonial buildings, including the Central Post Office, a testament to Gustave Eiffel’s design and construction prowess. The tour will culminate in a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral before immersing myself in the vibrant streets of Ho Chi Minh City on a cycle.

The journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh Long traverses numerous rice fields and fruit orchards. Upon arrival, embark on a stylish sampan ride to immerse yourself in the vibrant local life along the Mekong River.

The Cu Chi Tunnels, located in the northern region of Saigon, hold immense historical significance in both the French and American conflicts. Initially constructed in the 1940s to resist French colonial rule, these tunnels were subsequently utilized during the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 1970s.

Embark on a leisurely drive from Ho Chi Minh City to Tay Ninh.

Upon your arrival, embark on an immersive visit to the renowned Cu Chi Tunnels, an intricate network of underground tunnels meticulously crafted by Vietnamese resistance fighters, known as the Viet Cong, during both the French and American wars.
