Yes, most nationalities need a visa. Visa on arrival is available at Tribhuvan International Airport and some land border points. Bring passport photos, a valid passport (minimum six months), and the required fee in cash. Alternatively, you can obtain a visa from Nepali embassies or consulates beforehand.

Popular treks include the Everest Base Camp Trek, Annapurna Circuit Trek, and Manaslu Circuit Trek. While it’s possible to trek independently in some regions, the government requires licensed guides and special permits (like TIMS cards) in certain protected areas. A guide enriches your experience by sharing local insights and ensuring safety.

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are ideal. You’ll find mild temperatures, clear skies, and lush scenery—perfect for trekking or cultural tours. Winter can be cold at higher elevations but offers fewer crowds and beautiful snow-capped landscapes.

All foreign travelers need a Tibet Travel Permit and sometimes additional permits for restricted areas (e.g., Mount Kailash). These must be arranged through an authorised Tibetan travel agency like us. If entering from Nepal, you’ll also need a group Chinese visa, processed via the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu.

April to November is the most comfortable window, with milder temperatures and clearer roads. Winters can be very cold, but areas like Lhasa and Shigatse remain accessible year-round. Always be prepared for sudden temperature drops, especially at higher altitudes.

Acclimatise gradually by resting upon arrival, staying hydrated, and avoiding strenuous activity for the first day or two. A doctor’s consultation before your trip is recommended, especially if you have heart or respiratory conditions. Medications like Diamox can help, but descending to a lower altitude is the most effective treatment if symptoms worsen.

Many nationalities can get a Visa on Arrival if they have a pre-approved Visa Approval Letter (arranged online). At the airport, present the letter, visa application form, passport photos, and the stamping fee. Some visitors qualify for visa exemptions (14–30 days) depending on their nationality, so check official guidelines.

Highlights include Hanoi for its Old Quarter charm, Ha Long Bay for an overnight cruise among karst islands, Sapa for scenic mountain treks, Hoi An for its historic old town, Hue for imperial heritage, and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) for vibrant city life and access to the Mekong Delta.

November to April tends to have pleasant temperatures in the north and drier conditions in the south—ideal for a multi-region trip. From May to November, the monsoon rains bring lush landscapes but can also include afternoon downpours. If you plan to visit Central Vietnam, note that October–November can see occasional flooding.

Yes. Except for citizens of India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives, all travelers must obtain a visa in advance and pay Bhutan’s Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) (currently USD 100 per day). This fee helps preserve Bhutan’s pristine environment and supports community development. Your tour operator usually arranges the visa and SDF, ensuring a seamless entry process.

Spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) offer the most pleasant weather and spectacular mountain views. Spring brings blooming rhododendrons, while autumn provides crisp, clear skies—perfect for trekking and attending vibrant festivals like the Thimphu Tshechu Festival.

Pack layers of clothing for temperature changes, as Bhutan’s climate varies significantly by altitude. Include a light jacket for cool evenings, comfortable walking shoes for hikes, and modest attire when visiting monasteries or dzongs. Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, and any personal medications, especially if you plan to trek at higher elevations.

Most visitors require an e-Tourist Visa (eTV) or a regular tourist visa. Apply online before arriving, and ensure your passport is valid for at least six months. Visa exemptions or different rules may apply for neighboring countries, so always confirm requirements with official sources or your local Indian consulate.

October to March typically offers pleasant weather across much of India, making it popular for sightseeing. For mountainous areas like the Himalayas, summer months (April–June) are best. The monsoon season (June–September) brings lush greenery, but also rain—plan accordingly if visiting during this period.

India is generally welcoming, but it’s wise to take precautions. Use registered taxis, avoid isolated areas at night, and keep valuables secured. Learning a few Hindi phrases can help, and booking through reputable tour operators or hotels ensures reliable transportation and accommodations.
